Spring Forward Smoothie
Good for Spring Cleaning Your Diet, or Anytime
Need a reboot for your diet? This blood orange and spirulina smoothie bowl is packed full of superfoods like goji berries, baobab powder and macadamia nuts. Whether it’s the first warm days of Spring or a Midsummer celebration, this recipe is always in season.
Ingredients
Layer 1 – Orange Banana
1 pint Coconut Bliss Madagascan Vanilla Bean
4 ounces blood orange juice, freshly squeezed
1 banana, frozen
¼ cup goji berries
2 ounces pomegranate juice
Layer 2 – Macadamia Spirulina
1 pint Coconut Bliss Infinite Coconut
½ cup macadamia nuts
1 teaspoon baobab powder
6 ounces coconut water
1 teaspoon spirulina
(Use organic ingredients whenever possible)
Directions
Layer 1 - Orange Banana
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
Refrigerate or freeze until ready to use.
Layer 2 – Macadamia Spirulina
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
Refrigerate or freeze until ready to use.
Assembly
Pour Layer 2 into a wide, shallow bowl.
Pour Layer 1 into the center of Layer 2.
Garnish with citrus segments, shredded coconut, or macadamia nuts.
