Coconut Bliss Celebrates World Fair Trade Day

Did you know that today, May 14th is World Fair Trade Day?  To celebrate we are giving away a basket full of Coconut Bliss Goodies:  2 Free Pints, 1 Water Bottle, and the Diana Stobo smoothie book "Naked Bliss". Leave us a comment on this post along with a way to contact you if you are our winner, we'll randomly draw a winner on Friday May 20th at noon PST.
 

 

Coconut Bliss is proud to feature fair certified trade cocoa, coffee, and chocolate in our flavors.  This means that the production of these ingredients are regulated by policies set by Trans Fair in accordance with those of the Fairtrade Labelling Organizaztions International (FLO). Our vanilla is certified Fair Trade Plus by Kestrel Growth Brands. These organizations ensure that the farmers who grow and process these ingredients are being fairly treated in all aspects of their business.  The mission of Trans Fair sums this up beautifully:

"Fair Trade USA enables sustainable development and community empowerment by cultivating a more equitable global trade model that benefits farmers, workers, consumers, industry and the earth. We achieve our mission by certifying and promoting Fair Trade products."

The most enjoyable part of my day is sitting down and eating my Dark Chocolate Coconut Bliss Bar...that's right... I eat one a day (and I have to stop myself at one! or I would eat them all!) So delicious and such great ingredients, one of the few treats I can actually eat and enjoy!

I adore your products and they bring me sooo much joy! If I have any dairy my seven month old (breastfed) son lets me know! The poor kid screams the whole next night because his belly hurts :( I ♥ ice cream and was so happy to find something that is so amazingly delicious. No more milk based ice cream in this house!

1st, i LOVE LOVE the fact they use fait trade AND ORGANIC!! 2Nd we are already HUGE FANS since almost the whole family is lactose intolerant and 3rd since we dont eat cane juice, we love that you use agave!! Many points from us...love the smoothies book too since 6 of us eat smoothies for breakfast every morning:) lazuligal@hotmail.com

i was sad when i became lactose intollerant, mostly because ice cream was one of my favourite things in the world. and then i discovered coconut bliss and realized that there are things out there BETTER than ice cream!! who would have thought??? AND it's a million times healthier! double awesome!!! thanks guys! p.s. yay fair trade!!

You do realize that you've now ruined ice cream for me, don't you? With your lush, velvety texture and unbelievably rich flavor...you've brought every imaginable ice cream dessert to its envious knees. You also give me a guilt-free treat after a long, hard CrossFit workout and a healthy dinner. I never wake up the next day with a sugar hangover, and you're always there in the morning for coffee...in case I need you. Thank you. ...and yes, I've come to win your heart, and your gift offering, but I will love you no matter what. :-)

Yet another reason to love Coconut Bliss! Your product is synonymous with Portland for me & my husband, as we had it on our first visit. I tell everyone I can about it; considering I work at a small market, that means a lot of people. So excited to add your fair trade philosophy to the list of awesomeness!
