OK. I was way skeptical when my wife brought home a pint of Coconut Bliss —even when she said it was SO GOOD and I had to try it. Surely this was yet another disappointing alternative to real ice cream (a la Rice Dream and all the Soy brands). Surely my wife meant "so good" only in comparison to other dairy alternatives, which, let's face it, pretty much suck (funny how people pretend to like them!). Little did I know she meant SO GOOD as in better than ice cream, regardless of what you think of dairy. You saved me from the no-more-enjoying-ice-cream-for-the-rest-of-your-life melancholia! I don't even crave Ben & Jerry's anymore when I walk by a store!
I'm constantly telling people about it. It's a little out of control. I'm sort of a Coconut Bliss evangelical preacher but everyone I tell about it either closes their eyes half-way and says in a low tone, "I know" or says "I've heard— I really need to try it."  I'm sure my fervor will subside, but my love of Coconut Bliss—never. – H.H., Nederland, CO

OMG! I NEVER, I mean NEVER have been one to eat a whole pint of ice cream in one sitting and now look at me!!! My sweetheart and I have to use bowls so we don't eat it up every single time. We LOVE that our teeth don't have a sugary coating and love that we feel calm and satiated but not stuffed with dairy fats after dinner. I have been dairy and gluten intolerant my whole life and have eaten all the different kinds of alternative frozen treats. Soy causes me just as much discomfort as dairy and rice is just not creamy enough! I tried your Hazelnut flavor a week ago and am in awe of the creamy, delicious, SUGAR-FREE, taste and texture! My husband and I love it and will never go back because we feel so good after eating it! Thank YOU!

I'd like to thank you for creating Coconut Bliss.  I have had steadily worsening lactose intolerance but really enjoy the taste of a creamy, dense, full fat ice cream (like those made by a few regional producers such as Snoqualmie Valley here in the northwest, or like Ben & Jerry's used to be back in the early 90's before they sold out). I have been very dissatisfied with soy-based frozen dessert products because they tend to cater to the low fat crowd and try to make up for the lack of fat by making the product way too sweet. They also have horrible grainy texture and that stickiness associated with corn syrup.I love coconut bliss! My favorite flavor so far is the capuccino, my husband prefers the vanilla. I hope to see the new strawberry lemon in my local stores soon. My favorite flavors for ice cream are berry flavors. – Rachel H.

Wow!  I just finished my first (and certainly not last) pint of Vanilla Island, and it was so delicious.  I haven't had ice cream in many years, and am allergic to soy and to the grass family (wheat, corn, rice, sugarcane, etc.), so no other products on the market have been edible to me. Please, oh please don't stop making the flavors that do not contain any cane sugar - vanilla, coconut, maple-walnut, carrot-coconut, etc, as they are my only hope!  :) – Sincerely,

Thank you for coming up with a wonderful, great tasting, vegan and organic ice "cream"! this is such a wonderful alternative to ice cream, especially for a "trying to be vegan" 14 year old. I feel like I can indulge in the ice cream treats of summer with my friends who aren't vegan! my only wish is that you would branch out more into Scapoose's Fred Meyer or St. Helens's Safeway or something. I live in St. Helens and very rarely get to Portland which is the only place were I've found your ice "cream" I would love to see ice cream stands of your Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss on every corner of the world like Starbucks! I was ecstatic to find your coconut ice cream at Whole Foods today!! When they open their new store at Bridgeport I hope they have it there too, I'll be a regular. I have been using coconut milk and oil for a couple of years now because I'm dairy intolerant, and I love how coconut milk makes everything taste so decadent. I just had a scoop of the Dark Chocolate when I got it home from the store and I thought I was in heaven!! I sure wish they had the Naked Chocolate Chunk, that sounds like my kind of ice cream, deep chocolate with nuts and chocolate chunks!! Please never stop selling this, I'm hooked after the first bite!! My birthday is in 2 weeks, and I know now what I'm having, Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss!!!! YUMM!! Thank you. – Jeannette



I'm from Eugene and now live in Portland. Last year I found out I have ulcerative colitis, and so I've cut out all dairy from my diet. A HUGE ice cream fan in the past, I have been subsisting on Rice Dream for a year now. My mother recently bought me a pint of Mint Straciatella and I was floored! So tasty and totally dairy free! I just ran into your product at Food Front in Portland and I am so glad that I stopped there on my way home from a show.  IT IS WONDERFUL!!  Coconut ice cream is my favorite flavor, but I dont like the dairy and sugar, and I dont suffer from the sugar blues with Agave Nectar. I am ecstatic.  Now I only wish that there was a store in Vancouver, WA that could carry your product.  We only have a Wild Oats here and they are difficult to get local products into, but I would love it if you would try and I will bug them too!!  I would like to recommend it to my patients without having to ask them to go to Portland to shop. – Thank you,

Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss has become my morning coffee!  Being sensitive to homogenized, pasturized milk, yet still craving a healthy source of fat to power me through my mornings teaching kindergarten, 'Bliss' is just the thing.  I find I stay energized with no sugar or caffeine buzz or let down. Hello, Last month I discovered your products in Portland at Food Front. Lets just say my husband and I cannot stop eating the original coconut flavor and the blueberry/lavender flavor.

Its the best ice-cream we have ever tasted bar none and we are so happy too that its healthy! My husband cannot digest soy or dairy so this is a perfect alternative as well. Will have to start out two young girls on your products soon too!

My family really loves Coconut Bliss—we have food allergies but even my mother-in-law and husband, who both do dairy just fine, love their bliss too!

 Anyway… My one-year-old is on a high fat diet because she tends to grow very slowly due to a genetic condition. The one thing that has really helped her make progress is adding coconut milk fat to most of her food—we've been doing this since she was 6 months old. It really has made a difference for her and she loves it. She went from gaining no weight at all to managing to put on 3 pounds in the past 6 months. I'm just now learning that my instinct to give her coconut milk may be even better than I thought—I just wanted a "soft fat" for her that would be firm enough to overcome some texture issues she had early on (at 6 months she did better on chunky food than purees, now she does fine on both) that was not hydrogenated or animal-based. She is doing incredibly well compared with the other two children we know of who share her very rare condition. Breastfeeding has a lot to do with that, but the coconut-milk-fat diet really turned things around for her. She has some metabolism issues, and I think the coconut milk probably helps those a lot. – Jennifer, Eugene, OR
