Minimizing our ecological impact is an important part of our mission.
We are excited about the substantial efforts made by the primary facility that produces Coconut Bliss. Their two-step approach has been to capture solar energy and reduce energy usage. Solar panels were a major focus and span the entire roof of the warehouse. Energy efficient LED lighting fixtures equipped with motion sensors have also been installed to eliminate unnecessary expenditure. The facility was one of the first to install a Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit that removes dissolved solids from its effluent stream. This makes the waste water cleaner, which eases operations at the city’s water treatment facility.
Our company culture values a lifestyle of sustainability.
Coconut Bliss Headquarters
In February 2016, Coconut Bliss headquarters moved to a new office. We worked with a local architecture firm to renovate a former banquet hall into a space that our employees would find comfortable and inspiring, while incorporating the latest sustainability measures. The building was certified LEED GOLD. Our office is powered through our local Green Power program, and we are members of the Bonneville Environmental Foundation, through which we purchase Water Restoration Credits.
Employees are trained on current recycling, composting and waste stream sorting practices during onboarding and orientation. This helps increase diversion rates at our office as well as in personal homes and our community overall.
